Copies are the last thing left standing

Every other aisle lowers the chance of a bad day. This one decides how long the bad day lasts. When encryption gets through, when a disk dies, or when somebody deletes a folder with real conviction, the only question left is what you can bring back and how fast.

Cloud accounts want copies too, which surprises people. Microsoft, Google and Intuit each run a reliable service. Not one of them undertakes to bring back what you or a member of staff deleted, and the windows they do offer run shorter than most firms expect.

A backup goes on being a rumour until somebody restores it.

Nine lines because the units differ

A workstation, a physical server, a virtual server, a mailbox and a company file are not interchangeable. Each takes different storage, different handling and different restore work, so each is counted and priced separately. Take only the ones matching what you genuinely run.

The last line in the aisle is the one people leave until an audit asks for it. Restore testing produces the evidence on a schedule, with our engineers chasing the failures. It is the cheapest proof of preparedness anywhere in this catalog.

Each price here is read out of billing when the page opens. Whatever you write on sits waiting on the order form, so nothing is lost by reading first and buying afterwards.

Windows File and Folder Copies

N-able Cove, copying files and folders on Windows

The inexpensive line for machines whose whole worth is the documents sitting on them. Office files, drawings, databases and the rest get copied twice a day, and any of the past twenty eight days of versions returns in seconds.

  • Two copies each day of the working files, with no full machine image to store.
  • Any version out of the past twenty eight days restored on request.
  • Managed centrally, so nothing at your end needs remembering.

Whole Workstation Copies

N-able Cove full workstation backup

The whole machine rather than the documents: operating system, settings, installed software and data, with a local copy beside the cloud one if you want the quick restore. Bare metal recovery on Windows turns a dead laptop into a working laptop instead of a week of rebuilding.

  • Windows, macOS and Linux workstations, with schedules and selections set by us.
  • An optional second copy kept locally, for restores that need to be fast.
  • Encrypted with 256 bit AES while stored and while moving. 500GB of pooled storage.

Physical Server Copies

N-able Cove server backup with database support

Full backup for the physical boxes still doing real work in a cupboard somewhere. Databases are handled as databases rather than copied as files, which is the difference between a backup and a folder of unusable pieces.

  • MySQL, Oracle, SQL, SharePoint and Exchange handled as databases, not as files.
  • Bare metal recovery included, for one file back or for the entire server.
  • 2000GB of pooled storage, encrypted while stored and while moving.

Virtual Server Copies

N-able Cove backup for virtual servers

The same server backup for machines living inside a hypervisor. It is priced separately because a virtual server is a different unit to count, not because it receives a lesser service.

  • Whole virtual machine copies, with the same database handling as the physical line.
  • One file back, or the entire server, onto different hardware if need be.
  • 2000GB of pooled storage, encrypted while stored and while moving.

Microsoft 365 Copies

N-able Cove backup for Microsoft 365

Microsoft keeps the tenant on its feet. What Microsoft does not do is retain a copy of whatever somebody deleted last quarter, and the window it does offer runs briefer than most firms imagine. This line takes a copy of its own.

  • Exchange held for seven years. One year for OneDrive, Teams and SharePoint.
  • Shared mailboxes carry no additional charge.
  • 1TB per user of pooled storage.

Google Workspace Copies

Dropsuite backup for Google Workspace

Same reasoning, applied to the other platform. Shared drives, My Drive, Gmail, contacts, calendars and tasks copied to a schedule, with restores fine grained enough to fetch one message back without disturbing anything around it.

  • Mail every couple of hours. Drives three times daily. Contacts, calendars, tasks once.
  • Fetch back a single message, one mailbox, or the whole lot.
  • Encrypted with AES 256 while stored, and over TLS while moving.

QuickBooks Online Copies

Dropsuite backup for QuickBooks Online

Intuit gives no undertaking to recover your books from a mistake made inside them. A botched import, an account deleted in error, a bulk edit that got carried away: all of it yours to sort out, and this line is the copy keeping it small.

  • Continuous automatic copies of the company file, with restore measured in minutes.
  • Download, restore or replicate in one action, with no software to install anywhere.
  • Counted per company file, so a bookkeeper holding several counts several.

Entra ID Setting Copies

Dropsuite backup for Entra ID configuration

The configuration nobody thinks to copy: accounts, groups, roles, access rules and the rest of the scaffolding deciding who reaches what. Microsoft holds thirty days of that. This holds it without a ceiling and flags each change as it happens.

  • Retention without a ceiling, exportable in an open format at any point.
  • Roll a change back rather than reconstructing it out of memory and hope.
  • Change monitoring close to real time, with no audit log reading by hand.

Restore Testing, Witnessed

N-able Cove recovery testing, with the proof kept

A backup goes on being a rumour until somebody restores it. This line runs restores to a schedule, weekly or monthly, and produces proof each one worked. It turns an insurer's question into a document already in your hands.

  • Restores tested automatically, weekly or monthly, whichever suits.
  • Evidence of every successful restore, kept ready for whoever asks to see it.
  • Failures chased by our engineers rather than reported to you as a red icon.

Honest shelf talk

Where this aisle stops

Nine lines, and the honest shape of what recovery can and cannot do.

  • Copies are not detection. They get you back. They will not tell you what happened or stop it happening again, which is what aisle 1 is for.
  • The opening copy is slow. A first backup reads the lot once through. Keep the hardware switched on for it. From then on, only the changes move.
  • Storage is pooled, not endless. The figures on each line are what that line includes. If your data outgrows the pool we will tell you before the invoice does.
  • A restore still takes time. Bringing a server back is far faster than rebuilding one and it is not instant. We will tell you honestly what a given restore takes on your setup.
  • We copy what is connected. A cloud account nobody authorises and a machine nobody enrols are not being copied, whatever the rest of your order form says.
